The green snowdrop is a perennial with a growing season in spring. After flowering, when the seeds are ripe, the leaves die off. It stays dormant as a bulb for the rest of the year.

The original distribution area is in the Caucasus and Turkey. In other regions, the green snowdrop is used as a park plant or garden plant and can be seen growing wild.
